Fillets

Blade fillets define smooth transitions between the blade surfaces and the hub/shroud geometry.

Fillets affect only the solid geometry of Flow domain, Flow domain (virtual) and Material domain.

Fillets may be defined individually for each location or uniformly for all blades and for the hub/shroud.

The fillet size may be defined as either constant or variable along the contour. Variable fillet sizes are defined at the transitions between the blade profile parts.

The fillet size should not exceed the recommended limit.

Limitations

Fillet generation is not possible in the following cases:

fillets of adjacent blades would intersect

fillets would extend beyond the impeller inlet/outlet

fillet radius is significantly larger than the leading/trailing edge radius
